Principal's Message
Hello Springwater Students and Families,
We have 4 weeks left of the school year (seniors have less)! Summer is right around the corner! We had a wonderful Community Care Day at Dabney State Park two Fridays ago. The weather was warm (possibly the warmest we've had at Dabney). Students did a great job giving back to their community.
This past Friday we had a great chunk of students attend the Women In Trades Fair. Students learned about different trade careers and had the opportunity to complete hands-on projects. We missed this wonderful annual event during COVID!
We have our Spring Fest on Friday, June 2nd. The morning will be ACCESS periods: giving students a chance to get caught up on classes, retake tests, and get additional support from teachers. The afternoon will include baby goats, fun games, and celebration: another school year is almost over!
These next few weeks will go extremely fast. We are encouraging students to hang in there and do their best between now and summer. We have begun reaching out to families of students who need to make up credit at summer school. Please let us know if you have questions so we can create a plan to get every student back on track.

Silvestre Sahagun
Future Plans After High School: I want to go to college and then a law school so I can be a lawyer.
Grade: 9
Interests: I like to read, play chess, and play video games.
Favorite subject in school: Science. It’s just fun.
Favorite thing about STHS: The teachers. They are really helpful.
Jason Shotropa
Future Plans After High School: I plan on working for a little time for somebody (it could be automotive) and then own my own business. It doesn’t matter what really.
Grade: 10
Interests: I like to build things, put things together, and have fun with my friends. I’m just interested in making things a lot.
Favorite subject in school: Psychology, because Ramsey makes it so much fun.
Favorite thing about STHS: All the teachers are so much fun to talk with. It makes the class better and easier. Having relationships with them is what makes STHS so different.
Naomi Madrigal
Future Plans After High School: To be a cosmetologist or a tattoo artist
Grade: 11
Interests: I like to draw and, honestly, just vibe around. I like to edit, Twitch stream, play video games, and sometimes even do crocheting and knitting. Honestly, a whole bunch of things.
Favorite subject in school: I have a few. I like painting class and art class, but honestly, it’s not really the subject that I like. It’s more of the teachers. Mostly just Leadership and hanging out with those in Leadership is fun. Ramsey makes it fun.
Favorite thing about STHS: The teachers and students and how they all get along with each other. It’s not really chaotic and we all kind of harmonize around each other. It’s fun. Everyone knows everyone. I, personally, love the school because it’s just one big family. You truly feel loved and heard here.

Springwater Attendance
If your son/daughter is going to be out for the day please call the office (503-261-4600) and let us know the reason why. Whenever the office is not notified of an absence, a call is made home via the automated calling system. If the student is going to be out more than three days, you can call the office or email your student's teachers with a request for homework. If your student is going to be out of school for extended period of time due to a vacation or some other event, please have him/her complete a Pre-arranged Absence Form. If your student needs to leave school early or arrive late due to appointments, please call the office or send a note to excuse their absence.
Electronic Flyers
Gresham-Barlow Distict has launched a new electronic flyer tool called “Peachjar.” This service allows us to “go green” and will ensure that every flier is delivered to each household. Peachjar will provide flyers directly to your computer, tablet or mobile device.
To view school-approved flyers, simply click the Peachjar button on your school’s website.
