THE TIGER STRIPES
10.16.23
Happy Mid-October!
Dear Families and Community,
As you know, this was my first opportunity to participate in the annual Tiger Trot. I was so impressed by the whole experience! The level of organization was strong and streamlined, and the event flowed very smoothly. The energy was incredible, and we loved having families and community members there to cheer on our walkers and runners. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year's Tiger Trot such a success!
If you are not on BSD social media, you might have missed this adorable segment the district did on our Kindergarten 'Snackin' and Stories' event. Please look if you haven't see it.
We are cruising through October. There are many events coming up, including a PTC meeting where families can learn about middle school option schools, the Scholastic Book Fair, the annual PTC Boogie Woogie Bash (all of these are this week!), a teacher grading day with no school, Parent Teacher Conferences...and many more. Please make sure you are familiar with the calendar moving forward so you don't miss anything!
Sending appreciation for all you do to support our students and teachers.
Warmly,
Wendy

Head Start
Community Action Head Start now has some classrooms here at Terra Linda. We are currently still enrolling children into our program. If you have children or know of some in your neighborhood ages 3-5 and would like to apply for Head Start, you can do this online at https://caowash.org/programs/early-childhood-development/head-start/.
Head Start and Early Head Start programs offer high-quality early childhood education for children prenatal to age 5 who live in Washington County. These programs provide comprehensive services to enrolled children and their families. These services include health screenings, nutrition, social services, and other family resources based on your family's individual situation. Families whose income is less than 100 percent of the current federal poverty guidelines are prioritized, though all families regardless of income are welcome to apply.
We welcome children with special needs and children who are learning English.
Community Action is also currently recruiting to fill all open Positions. Please check out our openings at https://caowash.org/about_us/careers/working.html.
