Galloping to Greatness
Also joining our H-TECH team this year are Sasha McKenzie (English), Dalia Bishop-Counts (English), Ian Lim (Mathematics), De'Ron Scott (Social Studies) and Nancy Lopez (H-TECH Clerk).
The entire H-TECH team is looking forward to a year of increased student achievement, parent and community engagement, and to continue the Mustang tradition of Pride, Responsibility, and Respect.

Class of 2020 Officially Begin College Courses at El Centro College
Celanese Welcomes H-TECH Students
H-TECH Students Aviation Field Trip
H-TECH students participated in a field trip Gulfstream Aerospace and Frontier Flight Museum. Students took a tour of Frontier of Flight Museum, a Flight 101 Class, and Gulfstream Aerospace. They observed how jets are made from the time they are flown to the USA from Israel to the finish product. The purpose of this field trip is to increase the number of minorities and females interested in the field of aviation.
Dallas ISD P-TECH/ECHS Fall Programs Kickoff
UT Southwestern Medical Center Biomedical Careers Symposium
Sciences Symposium. During this symposium students were able hear from to biomedical students from several different universities in the medical district. The highlight of this experience was students being able to see and touch an elephant heart and view a human heart with cardiomyopathy. Thank you to Dr. Ashley Fiamengo (H-TECH Science Teacher), Ida Henry ( H-TECH Workplace Learning Coordinator) and UTSW Medical Centers STARS Program for their support. Our Health Sciences students benefitted greatly from this opportunity.
H-TECH Summer Interns
This summer our rising juniors had an opportunity to participate in summer internships with our industry partner, Celanese, advisory board member. Joe Atkins with Joe Atkins Realty, Inc., and the Dallas Summer Mayor’s Internship program. Congratulations to these students. They are truly setting the standard for Franklin D. Roosevelt H-TECH Mustangs. The students and their assignments are listed below:
