Taking Action
One of the greatest assets we can build in our lives is an action orientation. No great things are possible without action. Dreams & visions are good, but worthless without action. Plans may impress, but they lose all value if not acted upon. Opportunities fade if we don’t seize them soon enough. If we want a good life with good work, we must get good at taking action—& putting ourselves in a position to be able to do so. Too often, we hesitate. We wait to long before acting, as we try to line things up perfectly. A costly mistake. “Action is the foundational key to all success.” -Pablo Picasso

Arrangements are being made to dismantle the Water Bar & ship it to St. Louis to be refurbished, shoring for the front yard & Hall of Springs foundation is being prepared. We anticipate scaffolding will be placed in the pool to repair water leaks in the ceiling above the pool & below the Water Bar.
- City council approved text changes to the Zoning Ordinance. The revisions took 18 months & numerous meetings of the PZ Commission to provide a sounding board & direction. The purpose was to streamline the ordinance & address inconsistencies that occurred as the ordinance was revised incrementally over the years. Appreciate all your hard work.

Choose Your Attitude!
A lot of my high school classmates never wanted to return, & neither did I. BUT, we moved here in 2015. This town is amazing, filled with small business owners & leaders with a vision that supports ES’ rebirth. Broadway is lined with businesses & renovated buildings (with more being renovated all the time), & that momentum is spilling over to other areas of downtown. Weekenders staying at the Elms walk past a yoga studio, brewery & wine tasting room all before they get to Broadway. We go on bike rides to a winery, take our dog to eat outside at great restaurants, go to the new coffee shop & instantly chat with everyone we know. We are enjoying being witness to the great stuff that is happening in Excelsior. Stacey Ellerman Scherer Facebook post
