Bristol Township School District
September 2023
Letter from the Superintendent
Dear Bristol Township School Community,
I hope everyone had a wonderful opening of the school year and is settling in nicely to the rhythm of the academic year as we make our way into autumn.
I wanted to express my thanks and gratitude to the entire staff of the Bristol Township School District for working hard to ensure a positive, safe and supportive opening of the school year, even as we navigated some very hot weather. The District Administrative Team takes the time to go to all the schools for arrival and departure for the first couple of days, and it was great seeing all our employees go above and beyond to make sure that children and parents felt welcome and comfortable as we began the new school year.
I would also like to thank everyone for coming out to our Back to School Nights, which are always exciting evenings as parents get to meet the educators who will have such an impact on their child’s lives. We do our best to make sure that our schools are places with an inviting atmosphere where parents can feel welcome. It is our goal, that at the end of these nights, parents will believe that their children are in schools staffed by hard-working, enthusiastic professionals who truly care about their students.
Please enjoy our September Newsletter, featuring the opening of the school year, the addition of Anti-Bullying/Climate Specialists in all of our elementary schools and also highlighting the achievements of two wonderful Truman seniors, Lanae and Pyper!
Best wishes for a great October!
Sincerely,
Michael Nitti
Superintendent of Schools
Happy First Day of School!

Miss Unity: Lanae Carrington
Congratulations Lanae Carrington, who was honored this summer as Miss Unity by The Boots on the Ground Foundation! Lanae has been out in the community spreading kindness and unity everywhere she goes.
BTSD honored Lanae at the Board meeting as an outstanding ambassador of Truman High School. While at Truman, Lanae's schedule includes both honors and advanced placement coursework. She is a member of the Cross County team, Winter Track team and Spring Track team and she plans to compete at the collegiate level where she plans on majoring in Biology.
Shout out to School Secretaries!
All of our school secretaries received T-shirts from the Culture & Climate Committee defining what they do. "Someone who solves a problem you did not know you had in a way that you do not understand. See also: wizard, magician."
