SISD Closed Thursday, Feb. 3

Good afternoon Raider family,

The safety of our students is our top priority. Because the weather forecast calls for icy conditions, which could lead to the potential for hazardous road conditions, SISD campuses and offices will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3. The district planned for the possibility of inclement weather and will be able to use "banked" minutes or this day. This inclement weather day will not have to be made up later in the year.

We are actively monitoring the weather for Friday, Feb. 4. If the need to cancel school arises,, we will make that determination on Thursday. SISD families should use SISD's Inclement Weather Procedures for notification purposes (below).

Should it become necessary to cancel classes or delay the start of classes, SISD will provide the school community with information in a timely fashion. The decision to cancel classes or delay the campus start time will be made as early as possible. We will make every effort to make a decision by 6:00 a.m. The SISD community may access information in the following ways:

-Current information will be posted on the district website.

-SISD families will also receive a district e-mail, text and phone call. All official district and campus social media will be updated with current information.

- Subscribers to the district app will receive a push notification, as well. Download the app on the Google Play or App Store.

-The following television and radio stations will provide current information on possible school closings or delayed start times:
