November 5, 2023
Hello Hornet Families!!!
Welcome to the month of November and the end of Daylight Savings Time! Typically, I am not fond of this time of year, since it is usually dark outside by the time I leave the office. However, gaining the extra hour of sleep today was welcomed by everyone in the Estes household. I hope you were also able to benefit from gaining an hour today.
As we enter the first full week of November, we have a few updates and reminders for our families.
- Progress Reports: Keep an eye out for your student's progress report at the end of this week. This update will provide information on your student's academic progress and areas they may need to focus on.
- Grade Level Assemblies: Each grade level will engage in assemblies this week to celebrate their accomplishments in and out of the classroom. We will also revisit our campus wide behavioral and academic expectations. We request your assistance in reminding your student to follow all expectations and focus on their academic growth.
- No Hassle Fundraiser: Thank you to all of our families, friends, community and businesses for helping us reach our fundraising goal. Kealing students, teachers, staff and administration are extremely grateful those that donated. Your generosity will help us continue to positively impact students and teachers.
- PTA: Our monthly PTA Membership meeting will take place VIRTUALLY this Thursday, November 9th at 7:45 am. Here is the Zoom Link for the meeting. For those of you who have yet to join Kealing's PTA, there is still time. Click this link to be taken directly to the PTA Membership page.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Have a great week!
Mr. Estes

STINGER SALUTES
From Ms. Randolph: Maya Nagaraj is an exemplary student who comes to class eager, prepared, and ready to learn each day. She sets high expectations for herself and others in the Social Studies classroom.
From Ms. Randolph: Vivek Jallepalli sets a great example for his peers in the Social Studies classroom. He has such a bright and eager mind and influences others to work their hardest, no matter the assignment.
From Ms. Tasneem: Seth Eaton solved a tech issue with my mac book in less than 15 minutes (while I had many district tech people stumped with the issue) and taught me about invalid certificates on my computer. Thank you for being patient, listening, troubleshooting, and solving the issue with kindness!
From Mr. Jones: Allon Scott is an amazing student to have in class, constantly showing the value of kindness by working with her peers. Allon comes to class every day ready to learn and actively engage in the material, setting a great example to other students.
CONGRATULATIONS to this week's Stinger Salute recipients!!!
TEACHER & STAFF SALUTES
From Mahri Hill: I am shouting Ms. Bazan out because she is hard working and patient. She is also kind and she has lots of respect for her students.
From Mahri Hill: I am shouting out Mr. Lyday because he is kind and he is very helpful. He makes sure your work is done and he always wants you to be productive and reach your full potential.
From Maiely Martinez: Ms. Rieck is nice and she wants kids to reach full potential.
Great Job Ms. Bazan, Mr. Lyday and Ms. Rieck!!!

KEALING SHOWCASE
DIA DE LOS MUERTOS PARADE
NJHS WINTER WEAR DRIVE
We'll be accepting all winter clothing in ALL sizes (kids, teens, adults XS- 4XL). Coats, jackets/hoodies, long-sleeve shirts, hats, scarves, gloves/mittens, jeans/pants can be new OR gently used, but socks and underwear will need to be in original packaging.
Students can deliver items to their advisory teacher, and a few NJHS members will pick up donations every Friday during advisory. Parents can send donations with their student or drop them off in the main office for Chambers/NJHS.
There will also be large boxes in the library and program office, but we encourage students to donate through their advisory teacher. This is because the advisory with the highest number of donations will have a donut/breakfast treat party in their advisory (at a time/date decided by their advisory teacher).
KEALING MATHCOUNTS
