Middle School practices will begin on Tuesday, August 15th.

School Registration goes live on July 26th, you can register through your Powerschool account or through the registration tab on the Mancos School District Website for new students.

Your school registration MUST BE COMPLETE to get your Athletic Blue Card and begin practice.

It is a Colorado State Law that you must have your immunizations up to date, and have those records on file to be registered in school; or have your Immunization exemption form on file. This means that if either of these is not on file with your school records at the time of registration, your registration is not complete and you will not be able to get your Blue Card.

Many of you are missing an immunization or the proper documentation on file.

Please check with Sharon the school nurse, smartinez@mancosre6.edu Tracey the Secondary Schools Secretary timel@mancosre6.edu or Destri in the Athletic office dlockhart@mancosre6.edu to make sure your immunization portion of registration is complete.

The Mancos School District Athletic Handbook has been updated and there are also new forms mandated by the school district and CHSAA that we must have on file yearly. This includes the NEW Acknowledgement/Code of Conduct Form, the CHSAA Competitors Brochure, and the Emergency Treatment Form.

The Handbook and the forms will be available for download on the school district website under the athletics tab the week of July 17th. This will enable you to have them ready to turn in to the athletic office to obtain your Blue Card. You may also pick up any of the forms from the athletic office.

This year all coaches, both high school and middle school, as well as the athletic office will be using the Band App for the main communication tool with athletes and parents.

This will help make communication for teams and families be centralized across the district.

Make sure you get the app downloaded to receive notices from coaches and the athletic office. If you do not have a cell phone/device and can not access this app, please make sure your head coach knows so that they can use an alternative mode of communication with you or your student.

After Several meetings and discussions with the Administration, the business office, and the BOE, the athletic department has decided to implement the following athletic fee increases. This comes from much thought on how to cover the increasing cost of officials, travel expenses, uniforms, as well as, but not limited to expenses for tournaments and activities while still providing an excellent athletic experience for our students. The following fee schedule will begin this year and will be implemented at the following rate over the next 3 years.

High School

2023-2024: $75

2024-2025: $85

2025-2026: $100

Middle School

2023-2024: $40

2024-2025: $45

2025-2026: $50

Family Maximum fee cap: $300

Knowledge Bowl Activity Fee:

High School $50 Middle School $35

Blue Cards can ONLY be issued to you by the Athletic Office. All sports fees can ONLY be paid to to Destri in the Athletic office. Please do not combine athletic fees with any other school fees such as tech fees and lunch fees. The NEW athletic office is on the 3rd floor of the main historic high school building, room 310. (by the stairs next to Mr. Custer's room)

Blue Card Requirements

-School registration complete

-Current physical on file with the athletic office

-Current copy of health/accident insurance on file with the athletic office

-Code of conduct/acknowledgement form signed

-CHSAA Competitors Brochure signed

-Emergency treatment form completed

-Sports fee paid

-All uniforms or equipment returned from previous sport
