Bransford Elementary Mission Statement
To create a positive learning environment for all students that integrates the Arts into Education.
Greetings from Ms. Gerdes
A wonderful, busy week at BES! It is always a treat to visit classrooms and see the learning our students are doing. We had some visitors from another school come visit and gave great feedback on our kind, happy students and their ability to work together to learn and help each other. In addition, two of our staff members, Mrs. Gray and Ms. Jauch, taught our staff about Core Boards and other communication tools to use with our students. You may see some Core Boards around campus - these promote communication and connections with ALL our students at Bransford. We have already experiences several positive interactions. I am grateful to our Special Services Team for constantly creating ways to ensure all students are included and their words are known.
Several of us had fun with students predicting who will win the Super Bowl. It is always an exciting event for my boys and I! Be safe and (as a Red Raider Alumni) GO CHIEFS!
Remember, next Friday, 2/16, is a holiday (Bad Weather Make-Up Day) and Monday, 2/19, is a student holiday (Professional Learning for Staff). Enjoy your extended weekend!
Wishing you a wonderful week!
All My BESt,
Ms. Gerdes

In Case You Missed It
Electronic Device Policy
Students with Phones and Watches
Some of our students now have watches that they can send and receive texts with. Most are for communication with parents, but that is not always the case. We wanted you to have the exact board policy (related to elementary schools) for personal use devices. If a student has a device like this or a phone, they are asked to keep it in their backpacks during the school day because they are not permitted without administrator permission during school hours.
Electronic Devices and Technology Resources
Possession and Use of Personal Telecommunications Devices, Including Cell Phones and Other Electronic Devices
"An elementary school student or a student at an alternative school may access and use a personal telecommunications device or other personal electronic devices only with administrative permission."
