CAT Day Activity- Making Blankets for Project Linus!
On Dec 10th we will have our second CAT Day here at Small. In the library students will be making no sew fleece blankets for Project Linus. Project Linus is an organization that collects and distributes homemade blankets to kids in need.

November Library Stats
In the month of November:
- 536 items were checked out (About 35 items per day, the library was open for checkout for 15 days)
- 515 students came to the library on their own with a pass. An average of 34 students visited the library on their own each open day in November.
- The library hosted 20 classes for checkout or or other activities this month .
- About 900 students came to the library for checkout or other activities in November.
New Books!
37 popular and high interest Spanish books are ready for checkout from our Donors Choose Project as as well as 52 books purchased from the proceeds from our Scholastic Book Fair held in Oct/Nov. In addition, we also received a button maker and supplies from another Donors Choose project funded by Chevron's Fuel Your School program!
More... New books!
We also received 33 new high interest novel series from Lerner. These books are popular with middle school students and are targeted to both struggling readers and those that may not love to read longer thicker novels. They range from science fiction to fantasy to mystery and everything in between. They look great on our new library display and are ready to be checked out!
