Dine To Donate

Each month, the Valerius PTO sponsors a Dine to Donate night at a local restaurant. Dine to Donate events are a great way to make your evening a little easier, and help the PTO at the same time. The selected restaurant gives a portion of the proceeds from sales back to the Valerius PTO. Our first Dine to Donate for 2021-2022 is at McAlister's Deli on Tuesday, September 28 from 5-9 pm. VALERIUS FUN RUN

Valerius Fun Run October 1

The Valerius Fun Run will take place on October 1. This will be a fun event for students and we're looking forward to celebrating their Superhero Powers of being respectful, responsible, and safe at school! The Fun Run is our biggest fundraiser for the PTO, raising funds to cover many of our annual expenses. Donations support our Valerius students in many ways, including field trip funds, classroom enrichment, Valerius T-shirts for every student, school celebrations, and more. Donations to the Valerius PTO are tax-deductible. See below for info on this event!

Run Start Times (at Frerichs Field)

Kindergarten: 1:25pm

1st Grade:12:45pm

2nd Grade: 1:05pm

3rd Grade: 1:45pm

4th Grade: 2:05pm

5th Grade: 2:25pm

Spectators and Volunteers

Family members are invited to join us and watch from the stands. Registered volunteers will be allowed on the field/track. Please note that there is no parking available at the High School. Parking is available across the street from Valerius or at Urbandale Baptist Church, 6501 NW Aurora Ave.

Donations can be made at any time at https://valeriuspto.square.site/ You are encouraged to share this link with family and friends. Every donation helps get us closer to our $8000 goal. Keep an eye out for our donation thermometer outside the school to track our progress towards our goal. We'll be accepting donations through October 8. Donations are tax-deductible.

Uplifting Urbandale

Mary Clark: We are honored to recognize Mary Clark, a dedicated level three teacher at Urbandale High School. Mary was one of our remote special education teachers during the 2020-21 school year. While working in a new, remote setting, Mary took on the many challenges that came up over the past year with a creative problem solving style that engaged all learners and staff.
