Our school community thrives because of the strong collaboration between our dedicated educators and supportive parents like you. Your active involvement in your child's education plays a pivotal role in creating a well-rounded and enriching experience for our students. I want to share a few important points with you over the next few weeks.

• Home-School Partnership: Education is a collaborative effort that extends beyond the classroom. Your involvement at home, such as reading with your child, discussing their school day, and supporting their homework, greatly contributes to their academic and personal development.
  
• Stay Informed: We keep you informed about school happenings through newsletters, emails, and our school website. Please make sure to stay connected so you're aware of important dates, announcements, and ways to participate.
  
• Safety First: Your child's safety is our top priority. We have robust safety protocols in place, and we appreciate your cooperation in following them to ensure a secure learning environment for all students.

This year, if a student owes more than $10 on his/her lunch account, the cafeteria will not allow the child to purchase a lunch. The student will be served an alternate lunch, which is usually a cheese sandwich. Please make sure you keep your child's lunch account current. If you would like to apply for free lunch, fill out the application by clicking here.

Did you know that all school employees and volunteers are mandated reporters? If you attended our Open House your child's teacher explained that if a volunteer has reasonable cause to believe that abuse or neglect has occurred, he or she (the volunteer) must report it within 24 hours. Please see the attachment below on the steps that should be followed if a volunteer has reasonable cause to believe that child abuse has occurred.

The best way to get involved at Eastvalley is to volunteer! Our PTA and Foundation are instrumental in supporting our students and teachers. Please take a moment to join these organizations and check out the opportunities to volunteer.
