Battle of the Books
Interested 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students please start forming your team of 4. Teams need to be formed by February 1st. Sign up sheet is in the 4th/5th hallway.
Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for students in 3rd thru 12th grades. Students read books and come together in teams to demonstrate their abilities and to test their knowledge of the books they have read. The student competitions are usually similar to the TV series Family Feud or Whiz Kids styles of competitions.
The approved book list has been shared with 3rd-5th grade students throughout the district. Our elementary Battle of the Books will be held this spring with students coming together to compete from all three elementary schools. The exact date has yet to be determined.

PLU is offering a Free Clinic for Girls in the 1st through 6th Grades for Fast Pitch, Soccer, Volleyball and Rowing (crew). Not sure if you would want to advertise to parents but here are the specifics. I was planning to send an email to our 6th Grade parents. I have posted on our SITES Newsletter (https://sites.google.com/eatonville.wednet.edu/eatonville-middle-school/home) just after message from Anisa. Anyway, just a resource for parents I thought you may find useful.
