Introduction to Educators Rising
Introduction to Educators Rising
State Regional Coordinator
Welcome to a new year with Educators Rising. We are thrilled that you have chosen this invaluable resource to connect your students to the profession of education. Together, we will embark on a journey filled with exciting contests, enriching competitions, engaging curriculum, and enlightening conferences. As you guide your students through this exploration of the profession, I am here to provide you with the necessary support, resources, and opportunities. Remember, the Educators Rising program is not just about learning, it's about empowering your students to shape the future of education.
Whether you are a new or established chapter, one of your top priorities is to promptly sign up or renew your chapter membership. This is a crucial step that needs to be completed before you can register your students. Ensuring timely membership renewal is not just a formality; it's a key to unlocking a world of opportunities for your students in the Educators Rising program.
At the beginning of the school year, students will need to be registered for the coming academic year, and student membership fees will need to be remitted. The cost is $15 per student. The final deadline for payment to be received is Feb. 1, 2025.
Chapters must be registered with the national office, and students must be members in good standing to participate in state and national conferences, apply for scholarships, run for state or national office, apply for honors society membership, and access resources on the membership portal.
To join or renew your membership, visit the Educators Rising Join the National Movement webpage. A video tutorial on the bottom of the webpage walks you through the process of joining. It is highly recommended that you watch the tutorial, as the membership portal is difficult to navigate.
If you require further assistance, you may reach out to the national office at info@educatorsrising.org.
"Are your students ready to make a huge contribution to the national education discussion and have an opportunity to help develop their leadership skills? Applications for the Educators Rising Ambassador Program are open. If your students want to get more involved in the national leadership of Educators Rising, encourage them to learn more and pursue this fantastic opportunity. As an ambassador, they will show the world what future teachers think and experience by using social media to engage with other students and current educators, learn and hone skills that will make their college application and resume shine, and have a fun time in the process. Your students will want to take advantage of this fantastic leadership opportunity."
In Solidarity,
