Instructional Resources Public Review Opportunity
Staff, students, families, and Gwinnett community members are invited to review and provide input on proposed instructional resources for select grades and courses in Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Career and Technical Education, Health, and Foreign Language.
Before adopting instructional resources for classroom use, Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) holds an extensive review. Multiple committees involving various stakeholder groups reviewed resources submitted by publishers for alignment with the school system’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) standards. During the ongoing review process, selected resources are piloted in GCPS classrooms. Data from the reviews and pilots will be considered in making adoption recommendations to the Board of Education in early 2023.
This year’s virtual public review is open now through October 31st. To begin, please visit this link.
Veterans Day Program
Our annual Veterans Day program is Friday, November 11 at 9:30 a.m. in the RD Head Gym. We invite any Veterans or active service members to join us at the program. You will receive a medal, certificate, and gift bag as a thank you from our school!

Mock Election
Attn: 3rd, 4th, 5th Grade Parents
We are excited to announce that students have the opportunity to participate in the GCPS Mock Election for Governor, U.S. Senator, and an optional local school “special issue” (which is usually something like a favorite lunch option or favorite subject in school). The Mock Election will be available through the student portal. The only data that will be recorded is if your student has participated, but NOT who he/she chose. "Winners" of the election will not be tracked or announced in any way. This process is to expose our students to the act of voting without teaching, discussing, or promoting any particular party or candidate. While the actual candidates' names will be on the ballot, we will not be covering this information with the students. Third, fourth, and fifth graders will participate the first week in November. If you would prefer that your student not participate, please send your teacher a note or email.
Note: The Mock Election app on the student portal will still be active even if you opt out your student, but we will not take your student to participate in the voting event.
