Welcome back to Term 4. We have had an exciting start to the term with lots of activities and trips. We were fortunate to be awarded some Tu Manawa Funding and have been able to secure Athletics Coaches from Kelly Sports for weekly sessions in Term 4. These will take place on Thursday fortnightly for class rotations.

Our Puke Haupapa team have been preparing for camp last week and this week it has been all action. We are very grateful to the staff and parents who have dedicated time and energy to ensuring the children are safe and enjoying all the opportunities on offer. We are excited to be invited into the Healthy Lunches Programme provided by Budget 2020 for the 2021 year ahead. This programme provides funding until December 2021 to expand the provision of daily school lunches to approximately 850 schools across New Zealand, reaching around 200,000 students from the 25 percent of schools and kura in communities facing the greatest socio-economic disadvantage.

Our school will be provided with the lunches each day for ALL children attending Inglewood Primary School, which is fantastic.

A reminder our school is closed for Labour Day Monday 26 October and also Tuesday 27 for a Staff Only Day. Enjoy the extra long weekend ahead.

All students at Inglewood Primary School have been given a general admission ticket to the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls v Counties Manukau rugby game on Sunday 1 November at the TET Stadium in Inglewood. Extra tickets can be purchased at www.iticket.co.nz at discounted prices. Please use code INGLEWOOD. The tickets will come home with all students next Wednesday.

Please remember to notify the office if your child will be absent from school. Please state your name, child's name and reason for absence each day. The Ministry of Education treats all absences without a reason as truant. Thank you

Caoimhe, Charlie and Alex from Puke Haupapa Banks are making soap dispensers for one of our products for the upcoming market day in Week 5. Our goal is to upcycle and reuse. We will be using glass jars, to hold and keep the soap in. For the soap we are putting in the jars we will be using old bars of soap to make a nice refreshing clean hand soap. We would love it if you could donate some glass jars with lids, old bar soaps (used or not used) and soap pumps. Thank you in advance and make sure you bring them into Puke Haupapa Banks.

We are looking for two free small rebounder trampolines for a project at school. Please see the school office if you are able to help. Thank you

We are missing a lot of sports uniforms. Please check in drawers, under beds and in wardrobes. Please return to the office urgently.

North Taranaki Trials for the following teams will be held on Monday 26th October (next Monday). The tournament that the teams are being picked for are playing on Sunday 15th November.
