Opening of School Edition 2023
Welcome to the 23-24 School Year!
We had a successful first week of school. Our freshmen have been acclimating to the new building well. We held assemblies for each grade level Tuesday in which we reminded students of the rules and expectations of the high school. We held our first fire drill Wednesday afternoon. I would venture to say that all are getting back into the swing of things. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend and we will see everyone on September 5th. Please mark your calendar on Sept 7 for Meet the Teacher Night beginning at 7pm. You will have the opportunity to follow your student's schedule and find out what your student can expect this school year. Hope to see you here!

Student IDs
Please remind your students that wearing their ID is not optional. IDs are a part of the our safety plan. Safety is of the utmost importance to us. We have approximately 2000 people in this building and need to be able to quickly identify students and staff.
Student Drop Off- Please only drop off in the indicated areas
This year the parent drop-off and pick up will occur in the student parking lot and in the faculty parking lot. Please do NOT drop off your student in any other area of campus. Please drop off your student between 7:20-7:40 am. Students will be able to enter the building to eat breakfast beginning at 7:15. Those not eating breakfast will be asked to remain outside until 7:40am. If there is inclement weather they will be permitted in the lobbies earlier. Students may only enter the building at the gym lobby or the cafeteria lobby before school begins.
Student Lot Drop Off
In order to avoid traffic delays, we are asking that you enter campus from Wartman Road and proceed towards Gravel Pike to the student parking lot. There will be no left hand turns from High School Drive into the parking lot.Turn right off of High School Drive to enter the lot and then immediately bear to the right to proceed to the steps by the gymnasium. Students may exit the cars at the bottom of the steps. After dropping off the student cars must turn left and proceed around the lot and will exit on Trappe Road.
Agents will be in the lot to assist with traffic patterns.
Faculty Lot Drop-Off
If you enter campus from Kagey Road, please use the faculty parking lot to drop off your student. You can also turn right onto Campus Drive if you enter from Wartman Road, however you will need to make a left turn into the parking lot. Agents and staff are in the drop-off areas to assist. Please do NOT drop off students at the bottom of the steps in the faculty lot.
Drop-Off after 8am but before 2 pm
If you are dropping off a student after the school day begins you may drop them off in the main office circle as the student will need to enter the building through these doors.
We ask for your patience and cooperation as we try to get over 1000 cars in addition to all of the buses onto campus in a very short period of time.
