Weekly Update
Holy Trinity Catholic School May 19th, 2022
PRAYER
God of Wisdom,
We thank you for all the gifts you have given us throughout this school year.
We praise you for giving us life, for saving us in Christ, and for choosing us to be your people.
As we near the end of this school year, we voice our gratitude for the good things you have done in us, and we praise you for all who have shared in the work of this school.
We ask you to bless them in your love and give them refreshment and peace.
We praise you, God, through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, who lives and reigns forever and ever.
Amen
A Note from Mrs. Longden
"Behold I make all things new." When I heard this in the second reading on Sunday it had me reflecting on many times in our lives when God makes things new. Sometimes the 'new' things God brings into our lives are expected and anticipated with great excitement. Some of the new things could be educational degrees, marriage, meeting new friends, a new home or a new job. Many times, the 'new' things God brings into our lives are completely unexpected and often challenging. Serious or chronic illness, death of loved ones, dreams that do not come to fruition, and natural disasters. We have seen examples of 'new' things throughout the school year and we are reminded God puts these into our lives for a reason. There can be a fear of the unknown, but we know God is with us through it all.
One great thing that you can do to help your children know God is to send them to a Catholic School. I am so proud of our staff and our students this year. We have had many amazing prayerful experiences where we have spent time with God, have worked hard on learning and practicing how to be faithfilled and virtuous people, and have learned how to think about the next person/stranger/others in the world who need us.
Our school is focused on our mission first and foremost in providing an education where the entire school community works toward one common goal of enlightening and enriching the hearts and souls of each other so that we can know God more. We are a Christ-centered family. When we have this part moving then the other parts follow.
Please continue to pray for the health and strength of Holy Trinity Catholic School. We do make a difference in our community and world. Our school is needed for those of us who choose to be here and believe and for others whom we affect along the way.
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden

SOCIAL FEST- CLASS PROJECTS
Class Projects:
Class projects this year will be a basket provided by each class.
By now, most parents should have received a communication from their Class Representatives about the Class Baskets being organized for Social Fest. We hope these themed baskets are a BIG HIT in our Auction. We will have 11 themed class baskets in all and we are asking that all parents participate in some way to support your class basket. Parents can purchase gift cards or vouchers for the basket, or donate money that will go toward the purchase of items needed in the basket. We can not ask businesses to donate as we already are asking them for Social Fest.
We are still looking for someone to organize the 8th grade class baskets. If anyone is interested, please let Mrs. Longden know! Thank you!
