If you have attended a MAP workshop in the past, you are not required to attend a new one—though you are welcome to if you would like a refresher! These workshops will be offered virtually over the next two weeks. To see the available time slots and sign-up to attend a session, please visit this sign-up link. See you there!

AIS Health and Safety Protocols to Level 0
On March 4, our community moved to Level 1 health and safety protocols as listed on page 9 of our 2021-2022 Campus Opening Guide. The health situation in Austin has improved significantly over the past few months and Travis County's community transmission level is considered low. We continue to monitor the health situation on campus through weekly PCR testing of rouly one-quarter of our school population; there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in our student or staff population since February 21 and no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on campus since the week of January 31. After extensive consultation with APH and given these indicators of high levels of biosecurity on our campus, AIS will move to Level 0 adaptive health and safety protocols beginning Monday, April 18th. This includes:
- Face coverings. Masks are optional indoors and outdoors.
- Physical distancing. Any distance is permitted.
- Cohorting. Contact between cohorts is permitted.
Reminders about Mask Usage at School
It is important to note that as outlined in our March 4th Head of School eCommuniqué, AIS may increase its health and safety protocol levels--including requiring the use of masks--if the COVID-19 situation worsens. Importantly, any individuals who test positive for COVID-19 or who have close contact will be required to wear a mask for 10 days under our current test-to-stay protocol. Choosing to wear a mask is always an option; it is a family and/or student decision. All AIS community members are required to respect others’ individual choices to wear a mask or not wear a mask; any form of disrespect or bullying of another community member’s choice will not be tolerated by the school.
Summer Camps at AIS
AIS has once again partnered with Kidz to Pros (KTP) who will hold their own KTP Summer Camps at Austin International School this summer. Please note that KTP is renting the school and they are responsible for all registration, staffing, and camp curriculum for these camps directly. Take advantage of an AIS discount with $75 off using code FLY75. Kidz to Pros camp serves students age 6 to 14 years of age.
