Happy Homecoming!
We had a blast celebrating Homecoming with our Lewisville community. This year's theme was "Dancing Through the Decades" and staff and students dressed up accordingly. The LHS feeder pattern participated in various events throughout the week including a parade, pep rally and of course Friday's Homecoming game.
Elementary, middle and high school students from around the Lewisville community participated in Wednesday's parade and community pep rally.
Congratulations to Kaiden Reese and Tiara Rebollar, our 2023 Homecoming King and Queen!

Mill Street Receives New Little Free Library Thanks to Family's Generosity
When Mason started Kindergarten at Mill Street Elementary last year, the Matteson family was excited to take advantage of the Little Free Library on campus. But on their first visit Scott, who is also a nurse in LISD’s Health Services Department, noticed a problem. “I realized that some of [the books] were moldy and wet because the library itself was in need of repair,” he said. Upon looking further he learned that the structure was beyond repair, and a new one would be needed to preserve the books. READ MORE

- Blair Green, Lewisville High School | "I would like to recognize Mrs. Green for her exceptional contributions in fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for our students. Her hands-on activities, solution-oriented attitude, and collaborative spirit exemplify her dedication to their growth and success."
- Mason DeLeon, Huffines Middle School | "Mr. DeLeon is the best! My son loved his class from the very first day and he helped spark his passion for playing the cello. He engages the kids...and connects with them on a personal level which is so important for kids trying to navigate middle school. My son is in high school now, but Mr. DeLeon made sure to check on him on his first day. Wow! Thanks for all you do!"
- Irma Betanzoaguirre, Valley Ridge Elementary School | "Ms. Betanzo has a true gift with her students! My son has always been a bit indifferent about school, but after two days with Ms. B his whole perspective has changed...He already talks about her with trust and admiration. She makes her students feel loved and important from the start, and seems to always be coming up with creative ways to teach and motivate them. I'm so impressed with the way she has bonded with him so quickly."
