Principal's Message
Dear Thomas Families,
Next Friday, October 27, will be a day filled with fun at Thomas Elementary!
The excitement begins during the school day. Students are invited to wear an appropriate costume to school (we will not be changing, so make sure they will be comfortable all day in what they’re wearing). No masks or weapons, please. Costumes are optional.
In the afternoon, teachers will be hosting Harvest Parties in the classrooms, sponsored by the PTO. Thank you to all the PTO members who have helped prepare the activities for the party! Students will enjoy a snack of cookies and apples during the party. The apple slices have been generously donated by our local McDonald’s. We have 523 students…that’s a lot of apples! A big thank you to McDonald’s.
During the evening of October 27, PTO will hold a Trunk or Treat event at 6:00. There is so much planned! Students can “trick or treat” at trunks set up around the parking lot. There will be a food truck, a dance party, and a chance to have fun with our school community. I’ll be there with my family, too! Please note: this is not a drop-off event; it’s intended to involve the whole family. More information is included below in the PTO section of the update.
Go Tigers,
Melissa Garris
