Happy Monday PK-8 Coyotes!

Can you believe that this Friday marks our 100th Day of School! We're celebrating celebrate the "100 Days," as a Western/Cowboy theme this year. Students, teachers, and staff are encouraged to dress up with a 100th Day shirt, 100th Day Cowboy Hat, or 100th Day belt buckle with cowboy jeans & boots. Students particpating on Friday will get free popcorn durng lunch. We hope your child will join us!

8th Grade College Tour: March 7-9

Parents, we are excited to begin the planning phase of this year's college tour for our 8th grade students. The college tour is open to any 8th grade Tornillo student. If your child is interested in attending, a parent MUST attend one of the parent meetings that will be held this week. Please see the flyer below for information about the Parent meetings.

Valentine's Day Deliveries

Parents, help us get the word out to all of our families that there will be no deliveries at our school for Valentine's Day, Feb. 14. Students can still bring classroom treats in their backpacks that morning and even bring them in a few days before if their classroom will be having a party. Be on the lookout for more information from your child's teacher to find out how each classroom with celebrate Valentine's Day.

Deliveries for emergency items such as medication, glasses, change of clothes, and school supplies will still be received from our front office on this day.

Snacks at School

Parents, we need your help. There has been an increase of students bringing to school chips, cansy and soda. Please remind your child that these items are not allowed at school as these items do not comply with the state's Nutritional Guidelines for students.

After-school Tutoring (PK-8th grade students: January 22-Feb. 22)

Your child received an invitation based on Interim Assessment, 9 weeks grades or progress, or state assessments. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions.

5th-8th Grade students: Content Specific Days, 4:05-5:05

Student Attendance - When you miss a day, you miss alot.

We will continue to make daily contact with all families when a student is absent. As Texas law requires, a warning letter is sent to families when they have unexcused absences, are below 90% in attendance, or have extreme tardies. Please remember to submit your doctor's or parent note within 48 hours.
