Dual Enrollment
The deadline to sign up for Dual Enrollment is February 28th.
Irmo Theatre Company "Night of One Acts"
Join us at the Center for the Arts on Friday, Feb. 23rd at 6:30pm for Irmo Theatre Company's annual Night of One Acts. It's FREE entry, however, this is a "Pay What You Want" event in an effort to raise funds for the spring musical. You'll see some musical performances, Theatre 2's performance of "Happily Ever After", and the Theatre Honors' performance of "Badger". It's going to be a great night of entertainment! Can't wait to see you there!
Miss Yellow Jacket
The 65th Annual Miss Yellow Jacket Pageant is scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd, at 6:30 pm. Tickets are available for $5.00 and can be purchased online at GoFan or by scanning the QR codes found on the fliers distributed around campus. We are excited to see you there!
Yearbook Information
Yearbooks are now $65 plus tax. Limited copies remain. There will be no extra yearbooks to be sold at the end of the year. Please order soon.
Junior/Senior Prom
Prom tickets are on sale now through April 9th. Only Juniors & Senior are able to purchase tickets for prom. However, freshman and sophomores can attend with a junior or senior date. Tickets are $40 dollars in February, they will go up to $50 dollars in March, and $60 in April. Please fill out the Google form through the QR code or the link here then you can purchase tickets on your student account. If you have any question see Mrs. Meghin Taylor in Room 153.
Senior Cap & Gown Portraits
Cap and gown portraits will be taken on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Students must provide their own cap and gown. Cap and gown portraits are optional and will not be included in the yearbook. A sign up link will be sent to seniors in late February .
Cinderella Project
The 2024 Midlands Cinderella Project invites students from area high schools to attend a boutique held in the spring to “shop” for a dress, and other items at no cost. The Midlands boutique will be held on February 24, 2024, at Brookland Baptist Church. Pleae register to attend the event using this link.
Palmetto Girls State
The 77th annual session of the American Legion Auxiliary Palmetto Girls State is now accepting applications for delegate selection. Each year, ALA PGS is held to provide a unique forum for the state’s rising high school senior girls to learn about government and the political process. This year’s ALA PGS will be held on the campus of Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, from Sunday, June 9, to Saturday, June 15.
ALA PGS allows young women to expand their leadership skills and meet other outstanding young women from across the state. Some delegates even form lifelong bonds from their time at ALA PGS. It is an honor to be selected as a delegate to American Legion Auxiliary Palmetto Girls State. The American Legion and its Auxiliary sponsor Boys and Girls State to educate our youth in the duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities of American citizenship. State programs are held nationally, and alumni of these programs are known and recognized nationwide for their academic achievement and civic leadership. Many alumni of Palmetto Boys and Girls States have gone on to successfully run for local and state office in South Carolina. Colleges and universities also offer scholarships to Boys and Girls State alumni.
Applications are available now from Ms. Gantt in the school counseling office. Applications are due February 23, 2024. If you have any questions about ALA PGS or the application process, please contact Ms. Mumford in School Counseling.
Irmo Cheer Conditioning
Irmo Cheer conditioning will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays in March.
FAFSA
There will be a FAFSA events at Midlands Tech on Saturday, Feburary 17th and Irmo High School on Saturday, February 24th for those needing assistance.
Free Hot Spots
The Richland County Public Library now provides free longterm Hot Spot Lending to qualify K-12 students in Richland County. Please see the flyer below for more information. Applications are available for pick up in the School Counseling Office.

South Carolina Business Week
Applications for South Carolina Business Week are now avaliable.
The primary objective of South Carolina Business Week is to impact knowledge about entrepreneurship and the American free enterprise system to high school students. The event will be held on the campus of the University of South Carolina from July 14-19, 2024. The application is avaliable in grade the Sophomore & Junior Google Classroooms and at https://www.scchamber.net/partners-and-programs/business-week/
Students should inform their School Counselor if interested in applying. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2024.

We're looking for Student Life pictures for the 2024 Irmo High School Yearbook. Use the form in your grade level Google Classroom to submit pictures of your Irmo High Student at work, on vacation, your favorite fashion/shoes or hanging outside of school with IHS friends.

Parents of seniors, please encourage your student to start checking the list of scholarships available on a weekly basis and complete applications by the designated deadline. If you have questions, please contact your child’s School Counselor.
PSAT Scores
Students have access to their scores beginning on November 14 by logging in to their online score report. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one by clicking on Student Score Reports.

Tutoring
Is your child needing academic support? Irmo High School's after school tutoring meets in the Media Center every Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 until 6:00 pm. If you are interested in attending then please email Dr. Dew at sdew@lexrich5.org for details.
ID Policy
Students are required to wear their student IDs at all times. Students may order their own temporary and permanent ID replacement using this form. Temporary IDs are $1 and Permanent ID replacements are $5. All charges will be billed to student accounts.
Delayed Opening
Irmo High School will operate on a delayed opening schedule on most Wednesdays throughout the school year. A list of Wednesdays with no delayed opening is below.
PowerSchool Parent Portal
Parents and families should log in to Parent Portal to stay updated on student grades and attendance. See the presentation linked below for details on how to access Parent Portal.

In order to become a volunteer or chaperone, please complete the Volunteer Application and Confidentiality Agreement for School Volunteers and return it to the IHS volunteer liaison, Cindy Zakhar, in the main office. Support Irmo Athletics by joining the Irmo Yellow Jacket Club! Members can receive parking passes, tickets to regular season home games, and reserved seating, depending on membership tier.
