The BCHS Jag PRIDE Newsletter: A New BCHS Tradition
We are so excited to bring you the October edition of The BCHS Jag PRIDE Newsletter. BCHS is an incredible place where students are learning, growing, and challenging themselves each and every day. To better capture and celebrate the incredible things that happen BCHS while also keeping our community informed of up coming events and new information, we decided to create this newsletter! The BCHS Jag PRIDE Newsletter will be shared monthly with our families to foster communication, community, and Jaguar PRIDE!

BCHS Rolls out Safe Schools Reporting Tool: Anonymous Alerts
Anonymous Alerts is checked during business hours (7-3:30) and days. If there are concerns that are timely and serious outside of those times, it is important to call police or 911 for immediate support. To report through Anonymous Alerts, you just need to use any internet based device and go to https://report.anonymousalerts.com/deervalleyusd/.
With all safe schools reporting tools, it is important that those reporting use the tool for true concerns. Using the tool for jokes or false reporting takes time away from supporting legitimate situations or on campus needs.

October Female Athlete of the Month
Girls VBall - Maddie Sears - Maddie is an amazing athlete who is always giving 110% when she is on the court and during practice. She just passed the school record of service aces in a season, the record that she set herself last year. We still have three more games to go so this number will only get bigger.

Future Freshman Night
Join the staff and students of BCHS on November 14, from 6:00 - 7:30, for an Open House event where you can meet some of the Freshmen teachers from all curriculums. The elective teachers will talk about their programs and students from band, choir, piano, and drama will perform throughout the evening. The event starts at 6pm with a welcome from Principal, Brittany Sutton, in the gym!
Are you interested in the Visual Arts? Students from drawing, painting, and ceramics will display their artwork around campus.
Do you want to be an Engineer? How about a Graphic Designer or Computer Programmer? Or work in the field of Media Productions, Animation, or Finance? If so, speak to the CTE teachers about their programs.
And for athletes, the BCHS coaches will assemble in the gymnasium for "Meet the Coaches". If you are interested in joining Football, Cheer, Wrestling, Basketball, Track, Cross Country, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Badminton, or any other sports at BCHS, speak to the coaches in the gym.
Do you want to be a member of a club? Talk to students from Interact, NHS, Student Government, and many other clubs about their purpose.
Please visit the Boulder Creek website for more information and a Campus Map.
