FREMONT ELEMENTARY & INTERMEDIATE
February 19 - February 23, 2024
A MESSAGE FROM MR. LADENBURGER
Reminder - Sharing Personal Information
At various time throughout the year staff will be asked to share parent emails or phone numbers with other parents so they can arrange to send out birthday invitations. Along with that, staff may be asked to forward emails to other parents concerning birthday invitations. Please note that our staff is not able to provide personal information of other parents and they are not allowed to forward on non-school related information to families. If you would like, you can review the information below in the PTO section on how you can gain access to the student directory that they organize. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher conferences are on Monday, March 4 from 11:00-7:00 p.m. and report cards will be available online at the end of the day on Friday, March 1. Don't forget to contact your child's teacher if you have not scheduled a conference. If you are unable to attend a conference, you are always welcome to schedule a phone conference or you can schedule another time to meet during the school day. Please note that we will not be scheduling virtual conferences for this day. We have tried this in the past but it has caused our conferences to not run smoothly and it makes it difficult for our staff to stay on schedule. As a reminder, our specials and p.e. teachers will be joining some conferences. They obviously can not attend all conferences but this will be a great way for them to share how students are doing in their classroom for the conferences they are able to attend.

Take the 5Essentials Survey!
Fremont School District 79 greatly values your feedback as it relates to your student’s educational experience. Once again, the State of Illinois has partnered with 5Essentials to create a forum by which you can provide your input.
If you have not already done so, we would greatly appreciate it if you would take the brief survey by visiting: http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/
Your responses are vital for continuous improvement and long-range planning for your child's school. Parents are welcome to answer the survey for each of their children’s schools.
The deadline to complete the survey is March 29, 2024. Thank you for your assistance!
2024-2025 Bus Routing Plan
In order to maintain our own transportation department in Fremont District 79, we are implementing new bus routing guidance starting in the 2024-2025 school year. Please see the February 15 communication that was sent to all parents for more information.
Please refer to this FAQs document for answers to questions that you may have. We encourage our families who want to learn more to participate in a webinar on Tuesday, March 19, at 6:00 p.m. It will be recorded for future reference. We also have this form available to submit questions not addressed in the FAQs document. We will do our best to add to the FAQs and address them in the March 19 webinar.
