These are certainly challenging times and I certainly understand parents' need for information to make the best decisions for their children and their families. I know many of you have questions with specifics as to how the return to school plan will look at MBMS. We have been working on class lists and other specific plans to address the various components of a regular school day including bus arrivals, classroom instruction, class transitions, lunch, bus dismissal, and the safety of our students and staff. Dr. Smith will be holding another Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday this week. By the end of the week, additional information will be forthcoming to include details from the Superintendents' message to the SMCPS community. If you have not had the opportunity to do so, please take some time to review the SMCPS Recovery Plan linked below. As always, thank you for your patience.

SMCPS Recovery Plan

As we plan for the return of our students, we have had to examine the class rosters of every class to ensure the classes are divided correctly. Each grade level has between 300-375 students so a simple division of our total school population was not appropriate as some grade levels had more children with last names at one end of the alphabet vs the other end of the alphabet. As a result, each grade level has a different split to ensure the number of children is balanced.

The division for each grade is outlined below. If the division below divides your family so siblings in different grades are not attending on the same day, please email the grade level administrator for an adjustment. Also. please note that with over 1000 students, we were not able to coordinate siblings from our 6 elementary school feeders. Again, if this affects your family, simply contact the administrator for your child.
