Volunteers Needed for NNHS Student Young Hearts for Life (YH4L) Screening
Volunteers are needed October 24 to make the NNHS Student YH4L a success. This simple, painless, and non-invasive ECG can detect approximately 70% of the heart conditions that are associated with SCD, while a pre-participation physical can only detect 4% of these conditions. The false positive rate for YH4L is less than 2%. Over 120 volunteers are needed to offer this potentially lifesaving service. Volunteers do NOT need medical experience. Volunteers will attend a brief volunteer training session the evening before, Monday 10/23/23 at NNHS.
Additional Information:
· Be sure to choose both the training session as well as desired shift on screening day.
· Full day volunteers will be provided a lunch.
· Thank you for your help! We could not offer this without the help of individuals in the community.
