6th Grade Update
- This week permission slips went home for 6th grade fun night! This fun night will be held at Gahanna Lanes on Thursday, November 30th from 5:00 to 6:15. Admission is $8.00 and is due upon arrival (don't bring to school!). Students should return their permission slips to their House Teacher by Tuesday, November 28. Chaperones are welcome! Send any questions to Mrs. Hobbs at hobbse@gjps.org.
- Students need to have their OWN HEADPHONES daily for science and gold period (and sometimes for other classes!) Please ensure your child has a pair of headphones to keep in their backpack.
- With the second quarter starting, Mr. Barboza & the 6th teachers met with the 6th graders in gold period last Friday to review expectations. We discussed charging their Chromebooks each night, utilizing class time to get work done, organizing their backpacks and getting rid of papers that are no longer needed, and being a kind and diligent student who makes positive contributions. We also discussed students arriving to each period on time to maximize their learning. If this is an issue, they will get one verbal warning, then the teacher will notify parents if it happens again, and if the student is tardy a third time, they will receive a detention.
