Qmlativ Bulletin
Franklin Pierce Schools IT Department | November 2022
FPS is preparing to undergo a software transition from Skyward to Qmlativ
In anticipation of this change, IT will be sharing a newsletter containing information about the transition periodically to answer questions.
What is Qmlativ?
Qmlativ is the latest evolution of Skyward’s Student Information System software. This will require a complete overhaul of our software and system architecture, including servers, Skyward software, digital resource licenses, vendor agreements, and security.
When will we start using Qmlativ?
Qmlativ will be LIVE in July 2023.
How will I get training for Qmlativ?
There is training being rolled out to users from now until August 2023. The training groups are prioritized based on modules used within Qmlativ. For example, our Secondary Data Managers and Elementary Office Managers touch many modules in Skyward/Qmlativ and handle student data in multiple ways, so their training has already started. Teachers will have introductory training in Spring 2023 and task specific training in August 2023.
The plan is to provide training to all staff by August 2023! Staff will gain access to a Qmlativ Canvas course that will hold our training library, including videos.
How will information be communicated about Qmlativ?
District staff will receive communication through this Bulletin as well as through administrators and colleagues who may be participating in training groups. See the roadmap below to follow where we are in the process!
Who do I reach out to if I have questions?
Please email qmlativ@fpschools.org with any questions, concerns or curiosities related to Qmlativ or the migration process.
QMLATIV FEATURE OF THE MONTH
Personalized dashboard
Here's a couple examples of Live Tiles you can create:
Active Students within Range
As a counselor, you may work with groups of students based on name or grade. You can configure the Student List and create a Live Tile on your home screen to provide you one-click access to the group.
Student Count by Grade Level
You can create a Chart Tile that shows active student count at your school at any given moment, broken down by attributes such as grade level, gender, and race.
