All students in grades K-12 have FREE access to on-demand tutoring help before or after school. Click on link for the Step-by-Step Guide.

If you are interested in your student participating in the after-school tutoring program please email Ms. Meachem at kmeachen@lausd.net or email or call your child's counselor.

The Family Academy is designed to leverage families’ assets to be empowered as they support their child from the early primary years to college and career success. • The bell for passing to Homeroom rings at 8:25 AM daily and dismissal is every day at 3:23 PM (and 1:53 PM on Tuesday). Students enter and are dismissed from the back gate in the parking lot on Helmick and Amantha.
• Valet Drop-Off and Pick-up are on Amantha. The parking lot is only for School Employees and Buses.
• Please do not park in the bus zones and red zones to wait for your child. These cause safety hazards for traffic and for students. Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed.
  

Food deliveries by 3rd party vendors for students are not accepted. Free lunch is provided to all students.

The Black Student Achievement Plan (BSAP) was approved by the LAUSD Board of Education in February of the 2020-21 school year. Funding allocations have been earmarked to address the longstanding disparities in educational outcomes between Black students and their non-Black peers. Dating back to the landmark case, Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka in which the U.S. Supreme Court declared that segregated schools were unconstitutional, favorable outcomes for Black students and their communities continue to fall below district and national averages of their non-Black counterparts.

The District is using telehealth technology to deliver a range of mental health services for students. All students can access this higher level of mental health care by contacting one of our mental health clinics or Wellness Center in your area.
