Every WISD elementary campus will hold Kindergarten Roundup events on Wednesday, March 1 (9:00-11:00 a.m. and 5:30-7:00 p.m.). Kindergarten Roundup provides parents their first opportunity to enroll children in Weatherford ISD’s Kindergarten program. Families can meet the staff at their campus, get additional information on enrollment, ask questions and much more.
To complete enrollment, parents should bring:
1) Your child's birth certificate,
2) Your child's shot records,
3) Parent ID - Driver's License, ID Card, or Passport, and
4) Proof of Residency.
More information can be found at www.WeatherfordISD.com/Kindergarten.

Changes to Medicaid Eligibility
There are some significant changes to Medicaid coverage that begin March 31 – we want to be sure you’re aware. Attached is an English/Spanish flier with key messages for families.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government declared a public health emergency on Jan. 27, 2020. This allowed families to keep their Medicaid coverage in Texas without having to reapply for benefits. With the recent passage of a new federal law, this continuous coverage will end March 31, 2023.
Beginning April 1, 2023, all Medicaid members will need to have their Medicaid eligibility redetermined. Medicaid members should look out for renewal notices mailed in a yellow envelope that says “Action Required” in red or sent electronically to members signed up for electronic notices.
This change could impact more than 2 million children in Texas – it is important for families to stay up to date with the changes so they don’t lose their Medicaid coverage.
