THE SCOOP JUNE 2023
COLONIAL HILLS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
A Note from the Director
Get ready for a fantastic summer! Our teachers and support staff are planning a fun and unforgettable experience for our students. We have something for everyone, from games and sports to arts and crafts. As always, we are here to answer any questions or concerns.
HARD GOODBYES
In the next few months, we will have to say goodbye to some of our fantastic friends, some of which will be moving on to “big school”! We give our best regards as we say goodbye to the children and the families leaving the Center. We have treasured the time spent with your children and will miss each of you dearly.
We look forward to your visit!
Sincerely,
Karla Woods
CDC Director
DARE TO BE YOU !
Promoting every child’s sense of identity and belonging matters. Early childhood educators know we all want and deserve to be seen, heard, and feel valued for who we are, as we are – and that our sense of identity is shaped by and includes our families. Ensuring every child’s thoughts and feelings about themselves and where they fit are positive and affirming, results in the healthy social-emotional foundation required for all learning and development.

CLOTHING
The weather is finally warming up! Please remember to bring a summer hat and the appropriate outdoor shoes—no crocs or flip flops please or anything with an open back, as they are a tripping hazard. You should always have at least one extra change of clothes for your child. Please label all clothing with your child’s name.
