November is upon us, and we have completed our first trimester of the 2023-24 school year! Check out what's been happening, and what's upcoming!

We've been busy this past month at TVS -- everything from Spooktacular Dance to Spirit Week to Jog-a-thon! Thank you volunteers and parents for making this all happen!

Last week's DOUGHNUTS with GROWNUPS was a huge hit!
Big Shout-Out to our PTO for putting together such a fun and warming event, despite the chilly November morning!

A group of volunteers donated a couple of hours of their time on a Saturday to raise a tent on The Valley School grounds. We started with a lot of boxes on a foggy morning and in record time raised a tent to provide lunchtime shelter for students during the wet winter months. Thanks to: Robb Fields; Marci and Nathan Mortensen; Rhiannon and Joshua Woodruff; Mark Waggoner; Sean, Maddox and Zayden Rogers; Mike Morgan; and Gabe Hildreth.

Special shoutout to The Home Depot and parent Alex Waggoner for the huge discount on the purchase of the tent!

People who volunteer their time and energy to these types of projects help us do more and be better on behalf of all of our students. Donations of time, money and in-kind services allow us to focus our funding on teaching and learning in this unique school community. Thank you to everyone who makes a difference at The Valley School!

Wednesday, Nov. 15, 4:30 - 6:00, we will host an open-house style (Elective) Showcase of Learning. Our students love their "Wacky Wednesdays" and look forward to showing off their works from this trimester.

Sign-ups have been sent out -- check in with your student's Advisory teacher if you need help signing up. We look forward to seeing you all!
