PRIDE Under Construction - Week #21🚧
Greetings, STEAM Family!
Another eventful, yet productive week is in the books at SDE! Our students are now in the final stages of completing their middle of the year (MOY) benchmarks, and we are extremely pleased with the amount of GROWTH our scholars continue to show towards achieving mastery of their grade level skills. We were also able to close out the week with our “100 Days of School” celebration! Students and staff have been working so hard throughout this year to demonstrate Personal Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence in their attitude, attendance, and achievement in order to fulfill our district’s mission to become effective communicators, problem solvers, and lifelong learners.
“UNDER CONSTRUCTION” with Parent-Teacher Conferences
We would like to extend a huge SHOUT OUT to all of our parents/guardians who have already participated in your child’s parent-teacher conference to begin this semester. As a reminder, our goal is for each homeroom to have 100% parent/guardian participation in conferences, which MUST BE HELD IN-PERSON. Each class that has 100% of the parents/guardians to attend their child’s conference will receive an invitation to participate in our school wide “Family Engagement Fun Day” Celebration. Additional details are forthcoming. Also, please be sure to sign in with your child’s teacher so that your child may earn credit for your attendance, as well as for general documentation purposes to support our school's attainment of 100% parent/guardian participation. Those who do not have transportation or those with extenuating circumstances should speak with your child’s teacher, and we will be glad to make arrangements for you!
“UNDER CONSTRUCTION” with Celebrations of P.R.I.D.E
On this Friday, January 27th, we will close out the week by hosting our PRIDE Buddies Camp Adventure Day #3 (AM) with our students, as well as our 2nd Nine Weeks PRIDE “Technology Day” (PM). While all students will participate in the Camp Adventure session with their assigned mentor, the Technology Day will be specifically for those students who have met the participating PBIS P.R.I.D.E. criteria as noted on the flyer below, as well as on this week’s memo. Participating students will receive official invitations from their teachers this week.
Please be on the lookout for your child's grade level weekly newsletter, as well as important school-wide memos that will be sent home this week containing more details regarding our upcoming events. As always, feel free to contact us anytime with questions or concerns, and thank you for your continued support of "THE" Susie Dasher Elementary School!

WHO ARE WE???...
This Week at SDE:
ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!
- Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
- The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
- The PRIDE Afterschool Remediation/Enrichment Program takes place on Mondays - Wednesdays from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Snacks and transportation will be provided. For more information regarding the after school program waiting list, please contact the school at (478) 353-8250.
