Happy Kindness and Black History Month!

In February we ask students to take a little extra time to do a special kindness for someone they know or maybe even that they don't know each day. We hope this builds a new habit of going out of our way for others. Examples of kindness activities might include:

• Opening the door for someone
• Holding the door for someone
• Write a kind note to someone
• Sit in a new place in the lunch room and meet a new person
• Give a compliment to as many people as you can
• Collect litter you see on the ground

We hope you find yourself doing small acts of kindness too!

Each month we focus on different aspects of school expectations that are part of our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Our focus this month from our SPIRIT OF THE BOBCAT is RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR. Please help us focus on the following:

1. Choose our words wisely
2. Stand up to mean behavior
3. Commit to a kindness a day
4. Use appropriate noise levels in the hall
5. Turn off phones in the classroom

Please join us Tuesday, February 6th at 6:00 PM in the library for our first Bobcat Booster's meeting of the year.

Sales will be at break and lunch from Feb 5-9 by Student Council members. "Crush" cans will be $2.00 each and will be delivered on Valentine's Day. Proceeds will be used for Freshman Farewell decorations and food.

Presale of roses for Valentine's Day will be from Feb. 5-9th at break and lunch. $2.00 per rose- 3 colors available- to be delivered on Valentine's Day in Advisory. Proceeds are going to FCCLA.

Due to a change-over in the accounting program we will only be able to accept cash or check for school purchases until further notice. Feel free to call Brenda Morse or email her at brenda.morse@boiseschools.org to make payment arrangements or purchases.
