Kennedy School News

Everyone gets an extra hour of sleep this weekend! Please remember to turn your clocks back one hour, as Daylight Savings Time ends on November 1st at 2:00am. This change provides an extra hour of sunlight in the morning, but earlier darkness in the evening and officially heralds the approach of winter.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place the week of November 9th-November 13th.

There is NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS on Thursday, November 12th, as it is a full-day of parent/teacher conferences.

Our goal in sharing your child's progress at this time is to be informative and to use that short time productively in partnership with you.

The Fall 2015 newsletter can be viewed here & on the Kennedy School website. Please take time to carefully read the first issue of the Kennedy School newsletter. The teachers and staff have included very important information in this issue. You can expect 4 more issues throughout the school year.

2nd & 3rd Grade classrooms will be performing at Lincoln Middle School on Wednesday, November 11th at 9:00am in honor of Veterans Day. The performance will take place in the Little Theater. All guests who wish to view the performance must first obtain a visitor's tag with our RAPTOR system by bringing their Photo ID.

Next Friday, November 6th, marks the end of our Kennedy School Food Drive. Please talk with your child about hunger and how we can work together to help those who may not be as fortunate. If possible, please send any type of non-perishable items.

Also, Leyden Township has placed donation boxes at all 3 schools to collect items for needy families. They are asking for donations of unused and unwrapped toys, and non-perishable food items.

Please visit the lost & found located in the cafeteria to see if anything looks familiar. Over Thanksgiving Break we will be donating all of the remaining items.
