Language Opportunity Coalition (LOC) Biliteracy Award
Language Opportunity Coalition (LOC) Biliteracy Award
Framingham Public Schools is offering students the opportunity to earn the Language Opportunity Coalition Biliteracy Awards to students in grades 5 and 8.
The Language Opportunity Coalition Biliteracy Award is a pathway award that celebrates students' individual language development trajectory, promotes multiliteracy as an asset and rewards students’ hard work and dedication to becoming multilingual and multiliterate world citizens.
It also:
honors the skills our students attain and encourages them to continue their study throughout their schooling (and beyond!)
strengthens intergroup relationships and honors the diverse cultures and languages in our community.
prepares students with vital skills that will benefit them in the labor market and the global society.
This award is not limited to languages taught at Framingham Public Schools.
All grade 5 and 8 students are welcome to participate.
Language Assessments will be administered at your child's school.
