Reminder for Parents/Guardians - Student Drop Off
Parents who are dropping students off at school in the morning should use the parking lot lane closest to the building. Please do not park in in a space and wait to drop your student off. Unfortunately, parking is very limited for both students and staff. Utilizing extra parking spaces for this purpose can create an issue where there is nowhere for staff or student drivers to park. Additionally, please do not drive down the middle parking lot lane in order to drop a student at school. We appreciate your help!

Literacy Corner
Working on a family holiday newsletter to send to friends and family? Try including your student in the writing process so they have a chance to practice developing their own authorial voice. You could include a quote they write about something fun they did this past year or have them share what they are looking forward to in the new year. If they are hesitant to share or write, ask them to review the letter before you “publish” to check for errors and give the final okay about any personal information you are sharing to others.
Literacy Lessons at LHS
Reading, writing, speaking, listening, and communication skills are not only taught in English Language Arts classes! Check out this great literacy practice at our school:
Both Mr. Webb and Mr. Bressler offer student enrichment opportunities with additional primary sources to supplement their history units. This is a great chance for students to earn extra points, increase their content literacy skills, and experience diverse perspectives in history!
