Watch our latest video about the levy!
Thank you to the community members who have taken part in our series of public levy presentations, asked thoughtful questions, and taken the time to learn how levies work!
It is vital for our community to have all the facts and information about the details of this replacement levy as ballots will reach mailboxes later this month.
Earlier this week, Superintendent Deborah Rumbaugh and Deputy Superintendent Ryan Ovenell led a community conversation about the levy and answered questions. Take a moment to watch the video below to learn more about the levy before you vote on Feb. 13!
Be sure to visit www.stanwood.wednet.edu/levy for even more information.
Our next community levy presentation is 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 11, at the Lincoln Hill Retirement Center (Social Room).

A Few Reminders
Building Opening Times
Just a reminder that on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays - our building does not open until 6:30 am. and on Wednesdays (late start) our building opens at 8:00 am for students to enter for either Zero Periods or into the enclosed Lobby to wait.
Parents/Guardians, please be mindful in dropping off students early, especially with colder weather coming. While there are times that a staff member is here early to let students in to come and wait in the enclosed Lobby, that is not always the case.
Thank you!
Parking Lot Safety
When driving on campus, please drive slowly and look out for our students. Students walk all over campus throughout the day; one may walk across the street at a moment's notice, so please be aware. Thank you for helping to keep our students safe.
Drop Off and Pick Up
Students may only be dropped off and picked up in our Main parking lot off of 272nd. Please DO NOT use the lower parking lot to drop off and pick up your student, that area is for busses and staff only. Thank you!
Payments in the Office
The front office will not accept payments from students during class time. Payments will be accepted before and after school and during lunches. Running Start and Lincoln High students, payment will be accepted before class or before departing campus.
Parents/Guardians may pay any time during the day (the register is closed between 12:30 and 1:15 pm). Parents/Guardians can pay online at any time by selecting the Online Payments button on our webpage. Thank you!
Two important Updates Regarding Bus Passes and Attendance
We have two changes in protocol that we would like you to be aware of:
The first will be that we will accept bus passes via email. If a parent/guardian calls in (360-629-1300) before 12:30 pm, they will be asked to email the office staff member taking the call. We will verify the parent's name and email address and send a response that we have received/accepted the emailed request. We will only accept requests from a parent or guardian. Please include in the email: your student's name, the name of the friend they are riding with and bus route they will be on.
The second update will be that we will accept any tardy or absence due to car or traffic issues as excused. If a parent or guardian calls in, sends a note, emails, or enters on Skyward that their student is late due to vehicle or traffic issues, we can excuse that tardy or absence.
Mark Your Calendars!
Is your student struggling? When are teachers available for assistance?
Students who are struggling are strongly encouraged to ask their teachers for assistance. Teachers are available for extra support from 7:10 am to 7:40 am and 2:10 pm to 2:40 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and 8:30 am to 9:00 am and 2:10 pm to 2:40 pm on Wednesdays. Students should work with teachers to schedule time.
You Are Not Alone
The Snohomish County Youth Suicide Prevention Taskforce is hosting a youth suicide prevention event February 3rd, 2024 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Rosehill Community Center in Mukilteo. Although this is not a Stanwood-Camano School District program, we want to share this opportunity with our families.
There will be workshops, resources, art, therapy dogs and more. We hope to provide much support. Please see the attachment below for additional information, including registration.

WESCO Spectator Guidelines & Sportsmanship Code
The essential elements of character-building and ethics in interscholastic athletics are embodied in the concept of seven core principles: sportsmanship, discipline, leadership, teamwork, responsibility, dedication, and respect. To demonstrate sportsmanship in the stands, we ask all spectators to adhere to these 5 basic guidelines:
- I will appreciate all good plays and players, whether they compete for my team or my opponent.
- I will remember that school athletics are an extension of the classroom and that learning is taking place.
- I will be positive and use respectful language towards players, coaches, officials, and other spectators.
- I will respect the abilities and sensitivities of our opponents and officials, regardless of the outcome of the contest.
- I will remember that my actions reflect on others, including students, school, and the community.
