(REMINDER) Fall Break is Next Week!
Just a reminder, there will be no school Friday, October 20th and Monday, October 23rd for Fall Break: The WES Office will be closed, as well.
(Reminder) Leaves are Falling, and It is Getting Cold!
Fall came full force this week, as we saw the temperature drop to 39 degrees at 7:45 in the morning!
As the weather begins to change, please remind your children that their clothes need to change as well. Coats, shoes, hats, gloves, etc. may be needed sooner rather than later.
If you need assistance in providing any type of clothing, please email Dr. Fuller at pfuller@jgsc.k12.in.us
Similarly, as the rain (and God forbid snow) begins to fall, please remember to keep it slow in the parking lot, both in the morning and afternoon. We have a lot of very excited kids eager to both come to school and go home from school, and we want to make sure we are keeping them as safe as possible.

Construction at WES!
You may have heard that WES is going to have some construction happening this year, and that is indeed correct!
WES is looking to improve various areas of our building, starting with new heating and cooling systems in our classrooms! Construction will not happen before the first day of school, but will happen throughout the upcoming school year.
But don't worry! Classrooms will be moved around so that there will be no students or staff in classrooms where work is being done.
JGSC is finalizing the construction bidding process, and once that happens, I will be able to provide more details on (1) when construction will start and (2) what rooms will be affected during certain times.
More details coming soon!

Dr. Fuller's Thoughts!
"This is good because..."
Whenever something wonderful happens, we can easily think about 'the good' in that situation.
Whether you get a promotion at work, someone buys your coffee in line at Dunkin', or you find that missing $20 in your pants pocket, it's easy to see the good when it's something positive...
...it becomes slightly more difficult to see the good during those tougher times.
"This is good because..."
It does require work to train your brain to see the positive in all situations.
Whenever anything excellent, mediocre, lame, exciting, or 'unfair' happens, I pause for a moment and repeat the phrase...
"This is good because..."
Finding the good and the lessons in difficult situations allows us to positively move forward and to appreciate the lessons they provide.
If you want to conquer and ultimately OWN difficult situations, be grateful, and look for the good in every situation.
Remember, we learn so much more from our failures, than we do all of our successes.
