Hello Friends,

The Super Bowl is a few weeks away and I believe this presents an exciting opportunity for creativity and enjoyment. I have two ideas to share with you.

The goal of this idea is to create a fun and engaging atmosphere while acknowledging the hard work of your teachers. Start by grabbing a Super Bowl squares sheet and determine the prizes you will offer such as gift cards or substitute coverage for a day.

Now, let’s explore ways in which teacher can win squares. One example could be related to the current substitute shortage. For every class they cover or every time they take student from another class, teachers earn the opportunity to select a square. To facilitate this process, you can keep the square sheet in the office, and each time a teacher earns a square, they can visit the office, select a square, and sign their name.

Another idea for teachers to earn squares is “Random Acts of Kindness” bingo. Here is an example of a bingo card:

Every time a teacher completes a bingo or fills up the card by performing acts of kindness, they can submit their card to the front office to sign up for a square.

Ask your teachers and staff to dust off their favorite soup recipes and participate in a friendly competition filled with warmth, flavor, and a dash of friendly rivalry. Each participant will bring their soup creation where it will be available for sampling and voting.

Extend a warm invitation to your sister schools and/or district personnel to join and celebrate the spirit of friendly competition and community. Invite them to sample the soups and cast their votes. This will add an extra element of excitement and camaraderie to the event.
