MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - MRS. MARY GOETZ, 6TH GRADE MATH & SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER AT SMS
Mrs. Mary Goetz is completing her 25th year in our District. Mrs. Goetz has taught at the former Drake Elementary School and is now a Math and Social Studies teacher for 6th grade at Strongsville Middle School.. She earned her undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace University and her graduate degree from Cleveland State University.
“I love working with sixth graders. They are at an age where they are becoming more independent, curious, and socially aware, but are still open-minded and eager to learn. It is rewarding to watch them make the transition to middle school and help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to be successful. They are full of energy and enthusiasm and impress me every day. They show perseverance and make my classroom a lively and engaging place to be. I love the connections made and it warms my heart when students keep in touch and let me see where life takes them,” said Mrs. Goetz.
“Strongsville Middle School is an amazing place to get to come to work every day. My team is my family away from home and helps me in any way I need. There is a sense of community and collaboration amongst our staff that is remarkable. New teaching methods are supported and I feel lucky that after 25 years I am able to continue to learn and implement new modes of instruction into my classroom. I also enjoy getting to know families and the support I feel from the parents of my students. Strongsville is a great community that I appreciate getting to be a part of.”
Thank you Mrs. Goetz for being part of a fantastic team at Strongsville Middle School! #BeTheDifference
