Fox Family Updates for the Week...
Good Evening Fox Families, this is your principal Anita Roane with this week’s announcements and reminders. I hope everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend. We appreciate everyone who came out to support the Fall Festival sponsored by the PTA. There are lots of photos on our school’s Facebook page.
We would like to give a special thank you to Anytime Fitness at Zion’s Crossroads for the generous $250.00 donation towards this year’s Den breakfasts.
Please remember that students need to wear sneakers and have water bottles for PE class.
We have reached the fourth and FINAL week of Kindness Month and our division-wide kindness effort, OPERATION KINDNESS! Let’s end this month with some fun! This week, we’ll be hosting an Honor Their Courage Coins For Kindness drive! That’s right, we need your help to collect coins to support our veterans! 100% of the funds we collect will go to support the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit charity that supports veterans wounded physically or mentally in the line of duty. This is a significant cause as we support the men and women of our military who protect this country. As an added bonus the school that collects the most coins will receive a special snack or ice cream for all students and staff.
As you know the safety of our students is a top priority for us at M-NES and we have several students with severe allergies. After checking with your student’s teacher, we ask that you please send in only non-edible treats on Tuesday the 31st such as stickers, pencils, erasers, etc. Birthdays of course are an exception and would need to follow the 2-day rule and be brought in by Friday the 27th. We would not want students to feel excluded with treats being passed out and students with allergies could not be included. That would also be a monumental task for Nurse Tabby in addition to her other duties and responsibilities. We appreciate your cooperation as we do our best to keep all students safe while under our care.
I hope you enjoy all of the photos included in this week's edition of the Fox Family Focus!
With Fox Pride,
Anita Roane
Your Proud Principal
