Helping at Adams Elementary increases student success!
Joyce Epstein states in the School and Family Partnerships Report that, “when schools and families work in partnership, students hear that school is important from their parents and teachers and perceive that caring people in both environments are investing and coordinating time and resources to help them succeed.”
Ongoing Opportunities:
KINDERGARTEN: Work with our Kindergartners to build their reading and math skills (2-hour training is provided and required).
1ST GRADE: Come in once a week to help our First Graders with simple reading and math activities.
COKE GIVES: Turn in codes on box flaps (where you open the box to access the cans) or bottle caps so we can enter them and earn money for Adams!
Do you, a grandparent, or your high schooler want to help at Adams? Today is a great day to sign up!
Character Strong - Cooperation
March's Theme is: Cooperation, working together to reach shared goals.
From our School Social Worker
Adams' lost and found is overflowing with items! We'd love to reunite items with families. Please stop by during conferences to look for things that belong to your family. All items will be located on hooks and a metal rack, just inside Door #2. Items that remain after conferences will be donated.
