Kendallvue Community Newsletter
October 22-28, 2023
All Students are Curious, Creative, and Confident Learners!
Dear Kendallvue Families,
It was wonderful to see all the families during our parent/teacher conferences these last two days. Thank you families for participating and meeting with your child's teacher. Parent and teacher collaboration is a huge indicator of student success. Thank you for actively engaging and working with the school. Also, thank you PTA for supplying the awesome food for teachers during those two days. The number one way to a teachers heart is with food!
Next week officially kicks off the holiday season! Our Trunk or Treat event is Friday, October 27th from 5:00-7:00pm. This is one of my favorite events of the year. We will have incredibly, creative pumpkins, fun costumes, delicious food, and amazing people coming together to kick of the Halloween party! We are still in need of candy donations. On Tuesday, October 31st we will celebrate Halloween for real with our parade and classroom parties at the end of the day.
There have been some changes in the last few weeks at Kendallvue. Gary Scholz (evening custodian) and Jessica Jones have moved on to spend more time in their growing second careers. Gary will spend more time with his real estate business and Jessica will spend more time with her technology consultant business. We will miss them dearly and wish them well in their endeavors. We are also very excited to welcome Mrs. Julie Hartsfield to 4th grade. She started last week officially. In 5th grade Ms. Abby Adam will start on Thursday. They both will bring a positive, new energy to our intermediate teams.
Finally, another way to promote student success is a healthy volunteer program. Please make sure to explore the various ways you can volunteer at school in the PTA section of this newsletter. We are looking for volunteers in the library, Watch DOGS, and the upcoming Book Fair. Thank you to all the parents and community members who have already volunteered this year.
I hope the long weekend brought you all some much needed rest and relaxation! I look forward to seeing you all this week!
Cheers,
Bruce Lindsey
Principal

School Enrollment Survey
We invite you to participate in the School Enrollment Survey, open now through Friday November 17. Your feedback will play a key role in shaping the future of Jeffco's schools. We are eager to understand the reasons why you chose the school your student(s) attends and to learn which school programs matter most to you. Your insights will help us make informed decisions that improve the enrollment process and ensure that our programming aligns with your family's educational needs.
Additional survey details:
- Brief Survey: The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete
- Single Survey Per Household: You only need to complete the survey once, regardless of the number of students in your household.
- Anonymous Participation: Your responses will be kept confidential, as the survey is anonymous.
- Language Options: The survey is available in multiple languages.
Your feedback provides the foundation for our ongoing efforts to meet your family's unique needs. Thank you for your continued support and partnership to help all Jeffco students thrive and achieve their biggest dreams.
