Kindergarten News
October 2023
Dear Families
It was so wonderful seeing you at our Back to School Night! We enjoyed meeting so many of you and truly love having your kindergartener in class!
We are Learners and Leaders!
During the month of October our students will learn continue with our Countdown Phonics program, Benchmark reading and writing program. In Benchmark we will finish Unit 1: Rules at Home and School, and begin Unit 2: Every Story has Characters. In Eureka math, we will work with numbers 6-10 in different configurations, show one more and one less with numbers 0-10. We will shift to our Science unit where students will learn to become scientists, and investigate sunlight and surfaces. Our students will continue in social emotional learning through our class meetings and the Leader in Me program.
You can help your child at home by asking them about their day and reading together each evening. Please continue to read to your child every night and begin working on our Eureka homework.
