Mill Creek Magic Messages
News and Updates from Mr. Croyle and Mr. Murtha 10/6/2023
From Mr. Croyle and Mr. Murtha
It was another lively week at Mill Creek highlighted by the Book Fair and our Kindergarten/1st Grade Family Picnic.
Students were able to visit the Book Fair during school earlier this week and peruse a plethora of book (and some other) items. Some of the books involved seasonal themes like fall and Halloween, some involved popular young reader book series, and there were also the always popular science-based books (e.g. Who Would Win - Killer Whale vs. Giant White Shark). Our students seemed to enjoy the opportunity to check out the many offerings whether they were just "window shopping" or made a purchase. Many thanks to Mill Creek Home and School for Organizing the event and to the parent volunteers who helped throughout the week!
And just in case you had any doubts about the incredible work ethic of our Home and School parents, they were also behind the Kindergarten/1st Grade Picnic held this past Wednesday evening. There were good eats, such as hot dogs, Kona Ices, and pretzels, as well as fun on the playground, with sidewalk chalk, and with a favorite among the younger set - bubbles! Thanks again to our Home and School and to the many Kindergarten/1st Grade families who attended!
We hope everyone had as great a week as we did here at Mill Creek, and we wish you a wonderful weekend as our temperatures look like they may truly settle into fall.
