The Joy of Dance outreach program promotes the highest quality of fine art instruction in a loving, caring, and joyous artistic environment. Our fine arts faculty, all masters of their fields, encourage each student to reach their maximum potential in the arts. As students grow and become increasingly proficient in their study; their poise, self-assurance, and confidence will soar!

Ages 2 - 5 years

Upon registration, you will be billed the annual registration fee of $25 per child. You will be billed by your school for the monthly tuition payment of $72.

Music encourages children's inclination to move, developing their fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Plus, if the rhythm is very entertaining, you may even notice your toddler starting to jump up and down, which helps with their muscle development, strength and balance.

As children grow in their appreciation of the beauty of music and dance, they acquire a gift that will bring them great pleasure. Music brings another dimension of beauty into our lives. Music and movement benefit a child’s development in many ways. Here are skills that music and movement can help develop:

• Participating in a group
• Social skills
• Express emotions
• Enhance self‐concept by sharing music and dance of each other’s culture
• Refine listening skills‐noticing changes in tempo or pitch
• Awareness of movement and body positions
• Creativity and imagination
• Learn new words and concepts
• Explore cause and effect
• Develop large motor skills
• Improve balance, coordination and rhythm through dance and movement activities
• Improve small motor skills‐learning finger plays and playing musical instruments
