APRIL IS LIGHT IT UP BLUE!
BYAM ...Individually Unique, Together Complete
Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion During
Autism Acceptance and Awareness Month
Light It Up Blue
The month of April is nationally recognized as a time to learn about Autism and to promote acceptance of individuals who are diagnosed with Autism. The Byam community continues to honor each of our individual students by promoting diversity and an inclusive environment where every student can reach their highest potential.
As part of Byam’s celebrations, Art teacher Amy Brown, invited each of our students to create their own unique puzzle piece. These will be joined together to create a display representing how we all fit together to make our community.
Ways you can participate

Connect with kindness by learning about or sharing resources that celebrate diversity
Lead with kindness by advocating for advancement in policies that positively impact the autism community
Teach and learn with kindness in the classroom with daily kind acts and lessons that promote kindness and acceptance
