#EdCampKids!: In this session, we will share the ways that we have made #EdCampKids a part of our routine in 3rd grade. Building Your Classroom Library: Curating a library for your classroom can be a headache, but it is the heart of the room. In this session we will discuss ways to accumulate the books you need for your classroom library and what to do with all of those books once you get them. Writing Mentorship, Beyond the Text: When experienced writers share their writerly lives with transparency, students identify and envision themselves as capable, empowered writers. Student's Role in Assessment: Current research emphasizes the importance of engaging students in learning. During this session we will explore strategies to help students understand their role in assessment, to share data with students, and to support students setting, monitoring and celebrating their learning goals. You Haven't Failed Until You Give Up - Helping High School Students Reinvigorate Their Reading Lives: Helping high school students find the right book that will reinvigorate their reading lives is important, but we need to give them the resources to help keep them reading long after the final strains of Pomp and Circumstances are played. We’ll share insight into giving students authentic opportunities to become passionately curious about a topic to research. 30+ treasures from ELA Student Edcamps: Join us as we share 30+ treasures from ELA student edcamps. Students have used a "gem" rating system to share their favorite apps, websites, tools and tech treasures that have come from student edcamps. Come and hunt for buried treasures with us.
